Born in 1991 in Africa, Shoghi was exposed to art from an early age by his father. He faced several challenges dealing with poverty and navigating life as a queer African spending most of his formative teen years in East Africa and later moved to the USA.

This move would become a great opportunity for the artist as he dedicated his time in Chicago, IL to meet likeminded individuals through relentless networking, Shoghi started working in film as an actor on local projects and modeling for local Chicago photographers.

These experiences would end up encouraging his dream of being a multidisciplinary artist. Shoghi has had a non-traditional approach to life and is mostly self-taught from attempts of trial and error and learning from his mistakes. Using experiences and talent to improve on his life. His paintings explore philosophical questions or curiosities, his life experiences, nature, shapes, and repeated stripes. with an ever-evolving body of work, the paintings are expressed on canvas, wood panels, metal, and film.

He continues to approach painting in his home studio in Florida.
